The decision to offer laminated toughened glass as part of company’s portfolio was made earlier this year due to increased demand for the product.
Glass Planet’s Olifantsfontein-based factory houses some of the most sophisticated glass processing machinery and equipment in the country including a Cooltemper Jetstream RT tempering furnace, a Softsolution CulletScanner, a Neptun Rock 11 straight line edger, a Neptun LV Top vertical washing machine, a GMS horizontal washing machine and a GMS horizontal drilling machine, all supplied and serviced by FG Trading.
Having recently become the exclusive Southern African distributor for both Folienwerk Wolfen and Tornati, FG Trading was well-placed to supply Glass Planet with a turnkey laminating solution, which was the first of its kind in the country. “We invest in the best equipment available on the market for the products and services we specialise in, this allows us to supply good quality glass with an excellent turnaround time” says the company’s Joline Pypers.
Glass Planet’s investment in the state-of-the-art Tornati LAM VN 23.45 oven along with evguard® EVA film supports the company’s vision by equipping them with a solution that results in both high quality laminates and shorter lead times. In addition, the company can supply a broader range of glass products including, but not limited to, frameless balustrades, multi-laminated walk-on floors, external rooflite canopies and stabilising fins for shopfronts.
Apart from supplying equipment that ensures very good value for money, FG Trading offers technical support and advice to customers throughout the installation, commissioning and training processes as well as in the event of machine breakdowns. Glass Planet’s Joline lists “expert advice, after sales service and qualified technicians” among the reasons that the company has selected FG Trading as a supplier and service provider.
