Products
Our advanced sputter coating technology makes it one of the most versatile glass products you’ll find. Build with light in a variety of colours and performance levels. Combine coatings with laminated glass to provide added protection against storms or security threats, while improving your building’s energy efficiency. Guardian is continuing to develop new ways to make its SunGuard® solar protection glass even more durable, energy efficient and attractive for the commercial market.
SunGuard® High Durable
Advanced performance for monolithic applications
Guardian SunGuard® High Durable (HD) glass is a high durability sputter coated solar control glass. The product provides all the optical clarity and energy performance that is traditionally associated with sputtered coatings. The durable coating is based on highly resistant materials that enable the glass to be used monolithically, only when applied on the inside surface. The handling and fabrication characteristics are comparable to any other product available for monolithic glass applications. Typical applications include the outer glass of double skin facades, ventilated glazing, spandrel panels, glass louvres and external shading fins for solar control shading purposes.

SNX 60: Helps reduce energy costs by lowering the demand for artificial lighting, air conditioning and heating
Guardian ClimaGuard® is a growing family of advanced glass products designed specifically for the home. Whether it’s for windows, doors, skylights or conservatories, ClimaGuard® can make living spaces more beautiful, comfortable, safe and energy efficient. The glass can be tailored to suit specific climates, exceed performance expectations or achieve distinctive styles. ClimaGuard A+
This ClimaGuard earns a perfect score
Typically used in windows, conservatories, structural glazing, facades and curtain walls, Guardian ClimaGuard® A+ is a new thermal insulating glass for double and triple glazed insulating units that meets the highest performance requirements in terms of transparency and solar heat gain. This new low emissivity (Low-E) glass maintains the same thermal performance but with an increased level of solar heat gain. Guardian ClimaGuard® A+ allows solar heat to pass through the glazing, which is then retained within the building by the low-E coated glass. This means a positive effect on your heating costs during winter months as well as improving comfort levels in your home.
ClimaGuard A 1.0
At the intersection of thermal insulation and natural daylight
Guardian ClimaGuard® A 1.0 is a soft coat, dual stock Low-E (low emissivity) glass that offers the optimum level of thermal insulation possible in standard double glazed insulating glass units. This means the glass is ideal for large glazed areas where insulation is critical, such as in structural glazing, facades, curtain walls, conservatories and windows. As a dual stock product, Guardian ClimaGuard® A 1.0 glass has two versions, an annealed version and a Heat Treated (HT) version.
ClimaGuard A 1.1
Clear float glass aesthetics in low-e glass
Guardian ClimaGuard® A 1.1 is a single product low-E (emissivity) coated glass with a Ug value of 1.1. The glass offers excellent thermal insulation with a high light transmission, resulting in a Low E glass with a very similar aesthetic appearance to clear float glass. ClimaGuard® A 1.1 is primarily designed for architectural projects and triple glazing applications where very low-U values are required. However, it can be used in residential applications where it may help to achieve high window energy rating results.
ClimaGuard 1.0+
Intelligent glass – ultimate comfort
Ideal for double-glazed windows in residential applications, Guardian ClimaGuard® 1.0+ is a thermally insulating glass that provides the highest level of light transmission (76%) and thermal insulation (U value of 1.0 W/m2K) physically possible in a double insulating glass unit 4-16-4 panel. Clear and colour neutral when viewed from any angle, the glass transmits light beautifully. A very low U value insulates against heat loss as it guards against condensation and uncomfortable downdraughts. With a solar factor of 52%, ClimaGuard® 1.0+ makes efficient use of the sun’s warmth, allowing larger areas of glazing to be installed.
ClimaGuard® Dry
Outstanding performance without condensation
Guardian ClimaGuard® Dry is an anti-external condensation glass that is used as the outer pane of a highly insulated double or triple glazed unit. Exceptionally insulated glazing can, at certain times of the year, be affected by buildup of condensation on the external glass surface. This is largely attributed to the exceptional thermal performance of the glazing which is so efficient at retaining heat --preventing internal heat from reaching the external pane -- that condensation builds up on the outer pane. Guardian ClimaGuard®Dry glass greatly reduces this condensation as the glass coating works to reduce condensation formation on the glass surface.
ClimaGuard Neutral 70
Durability and efficiency for doors and specialty applications
ClimaGuard® Neutral 70 represents a new standard in durable high performance low-E glass. Designed for use in light commercial and residential applications, Neutral 70 provides the optical clarity and energy performance traditionally associated with sputter coatings. It also has handling and fabrication characteristics comparable in most respects to pyrolytic coatings. Neutral 70 is the perfect solution for doors and wear-and-tear applications, such as between-the-glass blinds.
By combining different combinations of glass thicknesses and numbers of interlayers, various performance levels can be achieved, ranging from safety and security to ballistic and blast-resistant. When the TV is switched off, it becomes an aesthetic mirror, adding depth to a room. Guardian Dielectric Mirror gives designers freedom to create features and visual effects for modern interior designs. Available in two versions: DM 60/40 and DM30/70. DM 60/40 reflects nearly 60% of light and has light transmission of around 40%, allowing the display to become clearly visible when it is switched on – ideal where the mirror function is the key aspect. DM 30/70 reflects nearly 30% of light and has light transmission of around 70%, also allowing the display to become visible when it is switched on, but is the optimum solution for Framed TV applications where the size of the TV is equal to the cover glass and the display function is the key aspect of the design.
Optical properties
Enhanced optical transmission provides better visual comfort in dual function mirror/TV applications, as well as hidden commercial displays, bathroom TVs, projection screens and electronics.
Manufacturing options
Can be annealed, enamelled, heat soaked, heat strengthened, laminated, painted and toughened.
Availability
Guardian Dielectric Mirror is available in a range of thicknesses in jumbo or cut sizes, on standard Guardian ExtraClear®, Guardian UltraClear® (low-iron) or Guardian Lami ExtraClear® (laminated glass).
Guardian Clarity™ is an anti-reflective glass that delivers an outstanding viewing experience. Suitable for any application in which excessive reflection creates an obstruction, Guardian Clarity™ glass has the ability to combine function, strength and beauty by maximising visibility and minimising light reflection. Guardian Clarity™ is manufactured using an advanced glass coating technology that, compared to standard glass, reduces reflection from 8% to around 0.7%, while increasing light transmission from 90% to 98%, creating an almost perfect, distortion-free viewing experience through the glass. Applications include architectural entranceways and facades, retail storefronts, stadiums, hotel lobbies and museum displays.
Optical properties
The residual reflection colour of Guardian Clarity™ glass is a soft neutral blue which does not change in different viewing angles. Available as standard on Guardian UltraClear® glass to achieve maximum transparency and incredible aesthetic appeal.
Safety
In applications that require safety glass, Guardian Clarity™ can be tempered or heat strengthened by a Guardian Glass certified glass processor.
Productivity
Guardian Clarity™ is available in multiple sizes for maximum productivity. Also offered either one-sided for further lamination processing into double-sided, or already applied to both surfaces of the glass substrate, making it highly flexible for any application.
Used with Guardian Clarity™, it enables outstanding performances and allows a reduced reflection – up to 0.7%.
Appearance
The residual colour of Guardian UltraClear® is a very crisp, brilliant neutrality, making it the perfect choice for high performance glass projects.
