From November 6 to 10, the Batimat will be attracting around 340,000 trade visitors to Paris. Here, Ensinger will be presenting the latest generation of its products for thermal separation in windows, doors and facades.

Ensinger's booth 5A-L77 is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of insulbar insulating profiles for metal frame construction. Thermix, the spacer for insulating glazing with a 'warm edge', will be shown at the stand of the distribution partner Covadis.

In 1977, plastic specialist Ensinger supplied the world’s first series-produced profile for thermal insulation in metal frames of windows, doors and façades. Today, insulbar is used all over the world and is considered a standard solution for thermally optimized metal systems.

Thermally separated metal frames

The robust insulation bars are made of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide and connect the outer and inner shell of the metal frame. They are available in numerous sizes, geometries and material variants to suit the customer’s requirements.

Insulating glazing with a ‘warm edge’

Since 1997, Thermix has been complementing Ensinger’s portfolio of insulating products for windows. The hybrid spacer consists of a high-performance heat-insulating plastic with co-extruded reinforcement wires and a thin stainless-steel foil as diffusion barrier.

This material combination allows for significantly improved thermal separation at the edges of the insulation glazing. The resulting ‘warm edge’ characterizes insulation glazing with excellent U-values.

Sustainable energy efficiency

By improving the thermal separation, insulbar and Thermix ensure the energy efficiency of buildings worldwide. Chilly air drop and the formation of condensation water on windows, doors and façades are minimized, energy consumption, costs and CO2 emissions are reduced and domestic comfort is increased.
