Thermobar Warm Edge Spacer-The Customer-Focused Success!

Date: 23 August 2011

NEW Thermobar warm edge spacer tube has been an unprecedented success. With production levels up to full capacity within three months of its launch into the UK market, its innovators, Thermoseal Group have now purchased additional machinery to increase production to approximately 30 million meters per year from October 2011.

Managing Director, Gwain Paterson comments: “The launch of Thermobar has been a long journey from inspiration to supply, but we are now delighted that we took the huge step from distributor to manufacture.

“Having supplied warm edge spacer bars for over 10 years previous, we used our close relationships with our customers to get the feedback we needed to manufacture and supply a warm edge spacer to suit UK requirements.

“We worked through many of the issues that customers have experienced with other warm edge spacers and compatible fittings available on the market, as well as taking on board the feedback we received in relation to packaging and promotional material. The result is a spacer tube which can be used with any sealant type and is packaged to our customers purchasing requirements. It can also be easily substituted within current BFRC Window Energy Rating simulations for any other spacer tube on the market without any additional cost. So, Thermobar really is a customer-focused spacer tube.”

Thermobar and fittings (gas and standard) are currently available in black, grey and white. Sizes include: 11.5mm, 13.5mm, 15.5mm, 17.5mm and 19.5mm spacer. 4mm heritage bar is also proving to be very popular.
