Guardian Building Products Distribution, Inc., announces  its newest product with the introduction of GuardWrap™.

This housewrap product protects against  moisture passing through the siding by draining it away before it can infiltrate the house. This  weather-resistant barrier reduces drafts and cold spots, blocks hot, humid air infiltration, and  minimizes energy consumption.



GuardWrap will be available through Guardian’s extensive building materials dealer network and  through its distribution centers located throughout North America.  “Half of all energy used to adjust a home’s temperature goes toward heating or cooling infiltrated air.



GuardWrap cuts energy consumption by minimizing airflow in and out of the home,” said John Gunn,  vice president of procurement for Guardian Building Products.  GuardWrap envelops the exterior of the structure prior to application of the siding. It is made of UVresistant  polyolefin fabric and comes in four sizes: 9' x 100', 9' x 150', 9' x 195' and 10' x 150'. A  generous cooperative advertising program is available to support advertising campaigns by the  stocking retailer.
