Graham Architectural Products Announces Dramatic Enhancements to Engineering Department

Date: 23 June 2016

Graham Architectural Products announces the addition of Joe Cerminara as vice president of process engineering and Tuan Tran as vice president of design engineering.

As part of a significant commitment to add new engineering resources to our growing business and provide a clear succession plan for our engineering department, Graham Architectural Products announces the addition of Joe Cerminara as vice president of process engineering and Tuan Tran as vice president of design engineering.

He will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s application engineering and production engineering activities, V6 processing team and project scope support.

He will focus on the structuring and operation of the application and production engineering functions as a cohesive unit; the conceptualizing and day-to-day management of simultaneous projects within the engineering team; the delivering of manufacturable designs to agreed specifications within time and budget constraint; and the fostering of innovative solutions to meet and exceed customer needs.

Cerminara comes to GAP with exceptional “window” credentials and a solid career progression with two well-respected fenestration industry companies.

His career includes a strong and successful 30-year tenure at TRACO, INC. (now Alcoa Commercial Windows, LLC, a division of Kawneer) where he held multiple engineering leadership roles. He also served as commercial engineering manager at Season-All Industries for several years in the early 1990s. In all of those roles, he demonstrated a strong commitment to engineering quality, customer service, process improvement and growth through innovation and new product development.

Cerminara holds an engineering degree from Youngstown State University and is a Six Sigma Greenbelt.

Meanwhile, Tran will be Graham Architectural Products’ chief product design engineer. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s project engineering and product engineering development, manufacturing engineering, and will lead the quality and V6 ERP platform initiatives.

Tran will focus on the structuring and operation of an industry leading project/product development engineering function; product development; design for manufacturing; and product design value engineering. He will also oversee the test lab and product quality, and lead the development and implementation of a new V6 ERP platform.

Tran joins Graham following several years at Guardian Industries where he was the regional technical advisor. Prior to joining Guardian, Tran worked for Kawneer Company where he served as technical design engineer manager. He began his fenestration career at YKK AP America, Inc., where he was a design engineer for their architectural aluminum storefront, entrance, curtain wall and window systems business.

Tran holds a degree in industrial design from Georgia Institute of Technology and is an active member of the Industrial Designers of America.

Following a planned transition period to help Cerminara and Tran settle into their new roles, Dennis Kelly will assume several new and strategic responsibilities for key corporate initiatives within the business, while working closely with Hurley.

In addition to leading Graham’s field service team, Kelly will become a strategic technical advisor within the company, identifying new technologies, materials, and industry trends essential to the future growth of the business. He will provide support to the Graham sales team, with specific emphasis on Strategic Sales Team (SST) projects, and will support national account development and new market opportunities.

Additionally, he will be developing and leading an enhanced sales/dealer technical training and support initiative to further support Graham sales teams across the country.

Kelly will also lead the revitalized “Graham University” to offer technical training for employees, and will continue to represent Graham Architectural Products at AAMA and other industry professional trade organizations.
