GLASSOLUTIONS joins Forstner Glass+ on stand A189, bringing a stunning 2m high curved glazed VS-1 mullion only system to the show, demonstrating the system’s superior aesthetic and structural capabilities for architects, developers and building owners.
The large glazed facades present a surface that increases the amount of natural daylight coming into the building, enhancing the building’s aesthetic appeal as well as comfort of its occupants.
The system can accommodate single, double or triple glazing units manufactured from monolithic or laminated glass panes.
Ryszard Grybski, VS-1 country manager at GLASSOLUTIONS says, “VS-1 is the only curtain wall system where the floating glass façade is held away from the attractive aerofoil shaped mullion without the use of obtrusive bolt fixings or transoms. Its relative simplicity improves constructability, increases usable floor area and reduces costs of programme delays in both construction and post-construction phases.”
GLASSOLUTIONS’ VS-1 curtain walling system was instrumental in the company winning the ‘Commercial Project of the Year’ category of the G16 awards for providing a stunning curved glazed façade, doors and roof terrace glazing for The Hiscox Building, York.
The system, which is available exclusively from GLASSOLUTIONS in the UK, helped realise Make Architect’s vision for Hiscox’s new £19m underwriting and customer experience centre, which is the insurance giant’s largest office outside London.
