At the glasstec 2018 in Düsseldorf, the German technology company will present their big data solutions for increasing productivity and quality, process automation systems and advanced digital service solutions that will minimize the duration and cost of maintenance.
Big data technology increases productivity and quality
Every second, coating systems deliver thousands of data sets about various parameters. The VON ARDENNE process data base VA ProcessDB enables the systematic collection and storage of data over a long period of time and the analysis and evaluation of that data. As a result, it is possible to identify correlations between different parameters and to help customers find the right leverage points to increase productivity and quality.
Thus, they can identify deviations from the standard performance of a coating system by comparing the current machine performance with a reference data set, for example the pump-down performance or the energy consumption per square meter of coated product after maintenance. A data set that can be analyzed in such a systematic way offers a deep insight into the production process.
Digital service shortens maintenance time
A scheduled maintenance with a calculable downtime is indispensable for a long-term reliable operation of coating systems. Unscheduled downtimes, however, that are caused by the failure of individual parts such as pumps or drives are annoying and expensive.
The digital service provided by VON ARDENNE will help avoid such downtimes in the future. We are currently developing a new service product to reduce downtimes and costs that is based on augmented reality: AR smart glasses that will also function as safety glasses will make troubleshooting easier and improve our remote support.
Process automation for a more stable production and quicker change of recipes
The new VON ARDENNE Processmaster is about to be launched on the market. The tool will offer a series of possibilities for process automation. The Processmaster helps stabilize the sputtering process, ensure a coating in accordance with customer specifications and improve product quality on a permanent basis.
Furthermore, the tool helps stabilize new complex and commercially attractive product recipes during manufacturing and, therefore, enables our customers to expand their portfolio by more profitable products. Due to the Processmaster, recipes can be set and changed much faster which increases productivity.
