The President of the Junta de Castilla y León, Juan Vicente Herrera, has been commissioned to launch in the company premises Tvitec in Cubillos del Sil ( Leon ), the largest glass tempering furnace within the sector in Europe transformation .

Tvitec ( Technical Glass Transformed ) has invested four million euros in the acquisition of this modern model ( RC350 ) manufactured by the Finnish multinational Glaston , measuring 60 meters long, and is located in the center of the plant . The new thermal line opened by the President of the Junta de Castilla y León with Tvitec top executives , led by its CEO , Javier Prado, allow the production of tempered glass, laminated glass , double glazing or print of up to twelve meters (12,000 x 3,300 mm). This equipment will give the company the ability to double the current size of their products (6,000 x 3,300 mm).

This investment will allow Tvitec , already one of Europe's leading suppliers of glass for great architectural works among other uses, to launch a virtually exclusive product for its size and technical quality for cladding and thus compete worldwide. The berciana company exported 60% of its total production , which exceeded half a million square meters of its various references last year.
