On July 16 2022, Shanghai, which has just experienced the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, welcomed Shanghai curtain wall “718 Shared Design Festival”, a grand event of the curtain wall industry. The conference adopted the mode of online and offline linkage. The scholars, experts, representatives of upstream and downstream enterprises and online audiences attended the conference to discuss the new direction of curtain wall development, exchange new technologies, share new materials, and promote the continuous high-quality and healthy development of the curtain wall industry. The “718 Shared Design Festival” has injected vitality into the industry.
The “718 Shared Design Festival” is sponsored by the Shanghai Creative Studies Institute, undertaken by the Curtain Wall Shared Design Professional Committee of the Shanghai Creative Studies Institute, and co-organized by 8 enterprises including Tianjin NorthGlass. Yang Hongqian, director of Pelli Clarke & Partners Architects, and Li Chunchao, marketing director of NorthGlass, co-chaired the opening ceremony. Mr. Gao Xueming, chairman of NorthGlass and NorthGlass Silicon Nest, attended the event.
NorthGlass shows 4SG long-term energy-saving insulating glass, perfect sealing system, which reduces at least 15% energy than the existing insulating system, and extends the whole life cycle; Aesthetic and energy efficiency clip metal mesh glass, and durability, stability, lightweight, heat insulation, fire resistance, water and moisture, sound insulation of lightweight microcrystalline curtain wall, make the traditional wall simple and refined, and they can be flexibly applied to the prefabricated building system.
In the past two years, NorthGlass has never stopped on the road of innovation. After the glass of Beijing Taikang won the Guinness Record, in 2021, 23 m super large glass has been approved by the owner and designer to officially enter the site; NorthGlass has drafted 6 industry standards, conducted parameter test on image deformation and cold bent glass, and has carried out technical research for a number of high-end projects together with upstream and downstream enterprises, design, construction, materials.
In recent years, due to the impacts of COVID-19 and the international situation, the costs of raw materials, transportation and labor have been rising, and the upstream and downstream enterprises of curtain wall have felt great pressure.
