Solutia: Third Line for PVB Film to be Built in Belgium

Solutia  will soon begin construction on a third production line for PVB films used as interlayers for laminated glass ("Saflex") at its Ghent / Belgium site.

Start-up of the new plant designed to produce film in widths of 3.2m for architectural applications in Europe, is scheduled for the second half of 2008.

The company also has a production line for automotive applications under construction in Suzhou / China. This facility is due on stream in mid-2007.
