For a balustrade at a height of 300 meters, sedak manufactures 25 glass units in up to 2.5m x 3m. Due to their exposed position, the 4-layer laminates are supposed to withstand wind loads up to 4.7 kN/m² (+98 PSF). For comparison: In Gersthofen, where sedak's premises are based, wind loads of approx. 0.8 kN/m² (+16,7 PSF) are used for static calculation.
Another highlight is the exceptional miter of the edges with an angle of 30°. The assembling of the laminated safety glass required therefore absolute precision.
