Listers nominated for National Award – Again!

Date: 29 October 2010

Listers nominated for National Award – Again!Window and Door Manufacturer, Lister Trade Frames of Stoke on Trent, have just been shortlisted as the UK’s Fabricator of the Year in the National G-Awards Event to be held in December.

The G-Awards are the Oscars of the Glass and Glazing world as hundreds of companies from across the UK compete each year to be recognised as the very best at what they do. There are eleven categories of Awards up for grabs ranging from Promotional Campaign, to Health & Safety Initiative, to Apprentice of The Year award etc, but the Fabricator of the Year title is perhaps the most coveted title of them all.

Lister Trade Frames, who have traded for over 34 years, are not new to this annual event having been finalists and winners at the G-Awards for six consecutive years since 2005. In fact the very first time that Listers entered the event back in 2005 they actually won the Fabricator of the Year title! So this year they will be hoping to win it once again.

Phil Warren, Lister’s Sales Director, was extremely pleased to be told the news, “It gives our company such a buzz!” says Phil, “Our staff work really hard to make improvements for our customers every year, but having that recognised in this National Event is something really special and it shows that Listers is well able to compete with the very best companies in the land.”

Listers who are the manufacturers of the Elitis Brand of doors, windows and conservatories, have been enjoying an exceptional year despite the current recession with sales up by over 12% to September. Phil says that this has been due to their concentration on gaining new customers, providing new products and services and giving their customers exceptional business support. “We have added items like Aluminium doors and windows to our product range and concentrated on improving our customer support. This has led to our gaining many new customers both locally and further afield who are looking for a high quality product and this has taken us well ahead of budget. Our Building Plastics Depot in Fenton has also seen a huge increase in sales this year.”

An independent panel of judges will be announcing the winners of the Awards at a Gala Dinner Event, hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, to be held at Wembley Stadium on 2nd December. Lister’s Directors and Staff really hope to be winners of the Fabricator Award again this year, they say that it would be ‘icing on the cake’ for Listers but with the results that they are enjoying so far this year it seems that they already have lots of reasons to celebrate.
