LG to equip refrigerators with Gomelsteklo glass shelves

According to him, in March Gomelsteklo will supply the company with 5 thousand cubic meters of glass shelves and with 12 thousand cubic meters in April. That is enough to equip 100% of monthly production of LG refrigerators manufactured in Russia.



Indesit Company is also testing Gomelsteklo glass shelves. Dmitry Sviridov noted that probably in the near future, after the prices are coordinated, Gomelsteklo will start supplying Indesit Company with its production.



Besides, in H1 2008 the company is expected to settle the issue upon the exports of glass shelves for Electrolux refrigerators (Hungary). Gomelsteklo has already received a set of technical and financial documents from the company. In 2006 Gomelsteklo started the supplies of glass shelves for the Lithuanian company Sneige, the Ukrainian Corporation Nord and the Belarusian Atlant. In 2007 the exports of glass shelves jumped 40% up to 760 thousand cubic meters.



OAO Gomelsteklo is the largest European producer of tempered glass. The company manufactures up to 160 thousand cubic meters of tempered glass a month. In 2008 the company is projected to install the fourth glass furnace to increase the production capacities up to 250 thousand cubic meters of tempered glass per month.
