Kirklees Leisure Centre Open for Business!

Date: 29 May 2015

Dortech have just completed a large scale glazing project at Kirklees Leisure Centre, for BAM Construction, designed by AEDAS architects.

The project was completed on time, within budget and to an excellent quality.  Both BAM and the client are absolutely delighted with the outcome and the work Dortech has carried out.

Dortechs works included the design, manufacture and installation of over 2,500m2 of curtain walling, windows and doors encompassing entrances, leisure facilities, a swimming pool, roof glazing and a climbing wall.

BAM's Project Manager, Simon Sutcliffe was very pleased with the project success stating;

"The New Huddersfield Leisure centre has been an extremely challenging, but rewarding project to work on, speaking personally, for BAM Construction & Subcontractors.
Living in Lindley I have taken great pride in delivering a quality building, ahead of programme."

"Furthermore, a high proportion of the workforce have been from Kirklees (12%) or from the Yorkshire region (over 60%).
It has been great to work with local companies such as Dortech, also based in Huddersfield, who have designed, supplied and installed the curtain walling and windows systems."

"The curtain walling to the Splash Park and Main entrance give customers a glimpse of the fantastic facilities within."
