Future Business Centre Nears Completion

Dortech was engaged by Main Contractors, Interserve Construction to deliver the fenestration to the new Future Business Centre, in Cambridge.     The scheme was designed by architects Saunders Boston to incorporate over 1,100m2 of glazing including curtain walling, windows, doors and rooflights.

The curtain wall suite was designed to incorporate feature decorative caps and Photo Voltaic Panels.





The Future Business Centre is designed to be a place where people can grow their ideas to make a difference in the world.



Due for completion Autumn 2013, the Centre will be Cambridge’s first purpose built incubation centre for social and environmental enterprises.

Design Features include:



  • Photo voltaic panels installed into the curtain wall grid

  • Projected window pods constructed using

  • Large, open glazed areas

  • Smoke vents located to the roof

  • Extended, feature mullion and transom face caps
