Edgetech I.G., a single-source solution provider for the insulating glass (IG) industry, is happy to promote Brian Kress as its new commercial technical specialist.

Kress accepts the position after spending the last three years as Edgetech’s director of quality. Prior to that, Kress acted as the company’s research and development manager for four years.

In his new rank, Kress will provide support to Edgetech’s commercial market from a technical perspective. Kress said he hopes to educate architects, glazing contractors and IG fabricators on the benefits of Edgetech’s commercial products, while growing this facet of the business globally.  “It’s always rewarding to fill positions with such trusted people within the company,” said Larry Johnson, executive vice president, Edgetech I.G. “I’m confident Brian’s seven years of experience at Edgetech and his nine years of experience with Lauren International, Edgetech’s parent company, will bring him great success.”

Kress studied chemistry and business at Kent State University. He lives in New Philadelphia with his wife Kim, who is also Edgetech’s marketing production manager, and loves spending time with his two daughters and three grandchildren. Kress said he’s excited for this opportunity to advance professionally.
