Demand for Tempered Glass Fuels Niskayuna Glass Expansion

Niskayuna Glass is wrapping up a seven-month, $900,000 expansion project that added production space and a new manufacturing line to the company's facility.

Niskayuna Glass is a locally-owned glass fabrication and distribution facility in Schenectady, NY.The expansion will allow the company to produce a new manufacturing line: tempered glass, a material that had to be purchased from suppliers previously.Half of the company's sales last year were tempered insulating glass.
