VETECO, in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Lightweight Façades and Windows, ASEFAVE, and BIMÉTICA, are organising a workshop called “BIM in the Façade and Window Industry in Spain”, aimed at market professionals and forming part of the activities in connection with the International Trade Fair for Windows, Façades and Solar Protection, VETECO 2018, organised by IFEMA, and being held within the framework of ePower&Building – together with CONSTRUTEC, BIMEXPO, ARCHISTONE, MATELEC and MATELEC LIGHTING – from 13 to 16 November at Feria de Madrid.

The workshop will be held next Tuesday 3 July, from 10:00 to 13:00 in the Sala de Moquetas (Modelling Hall) of Feria de Madrid.

The windows and façades market is slowly coming in line in the face of the ever more present reality of the collaborative work environment of BIM.

Manufacturers are providing more and more solutions and professionals demand higher quality in BIM products for specifications. This reality is backed by recent regulations that oblige public administrations to use BIM in tenders for infrastructure and construction.

The session will cover subjects regarding the current BIM situation in Spain and Europe, the technical development of BIM objects and best practices for their use in projects, case studies from manufacturing companies with their BIM libraries and real-life cases of specification of objects in projects.

Miguel Robles, the President of ASEFAVE, will be tasked with opening the session, with the talk “ASEFAVE and their vision of BIM”, followed by Raúl Calleja, Director of ePower&Building, with “VETECO, a Fair that backs innovation”. Throughout the rest of the morning the remainder of talks by market professionals will follow:
