SageGlass: 800ft high!

Date: 11 February 2016

Our partner, Giroux Glass, is just finishing the installation of SageGlass on the 71st Floor of the US Bank Tower building in Los Angeles. (LA’s tallest building)   So it becomes our highest install ever at 800ft above the LA streets below.

Our Project is the equipping of LA's latest restaurant, "71Above," with SageGlass. Our SageGlass windows encircle the panoramic restaurant at the top of the building in Downtown Los Angeles. The dynamic windows allow changing the level of tint when needed. Allowing a dining experience in comfort and with stunning, uninterrupted views.

Our partner, Giroux Glass, has worked on many of Los Angeles' most striking high-rises, but this project takes even them to their greatest height yet, at almost 800ft.

You select a restaurant like "71Above" for its cool food, its atmosphere and the amazing views. Using window shades, might sort out the glare issue but would eliminate the view and would not prevent the heat from entering the space. SageGlass not only manages the glare, it cuts out the heat and it allows you to enjoy the stunning views whilst you dine anytime, day or night. A highly tinted glass might help during the day but would make it impossible to see out at night. With SageGlass, the tint level can be set to a very comfortable 20%, 6% or 1% light transmission on the sunniest of days and be at a very clear 60% light transmission at night or on duller days.

The installation of the windows will be complete by the end of this month. We will be sure to share more photos in the months to come and when "71Above" is ready for business.

I can't wait to visit 71Above and celebrate it's opening with our customer, our partners and our team.
