QUANTUM GLASS™ offers state-of-the-art solutions for contemporary lifestyles, sustainable and eco-friendly materials that embody new architectural codes and optimize energy consumption, and project support that only a dedicated network of professionals can provide.
With the first six technologies from QUANTUM GLASS, the new brand from Saint-Gobain Glass Solutions, tomorrow's world becomes a reality. At last it is possible to imagine shapes and volumes whatever the constraints imposed by geographical location, sun exposure and the immediate living environment.
On 5 November 2009, during the BATIMAT trade fair, QUANTUM GLASS will open the doors to its new interactive studio: A Glass House. A true temple dedicated to smart and energy-saving glass solutions, this exceptional showcase will be open to both industry professionals and the general public.
Supported by Saint-Gobain and benefiting from its 350 years of expertise and experience, QUANTUM GLASS aims to achieve one purpose: arouse emotion and push back the boundaries of modern living, facilitating architectural projects and state-of-the-art products with energy-intelligent glass technologies.
Contemporary architects, designers and end-users need to be able to satisfy general public expectations by designing harmonious, intelligent and energy-saving buildings while making life more comfortable. Thanks to its initial range of six visionary and eco-efficient technologies, to be used either individually or combined, QUANTUM GLASS makes this possible.
For made-to-measure service, a helpful and pro-active network of certified professionals will assist clients from project design to completion and acceptance. Because sophisticated technology should not mean complexity, QUANTUM GLASS offers turnkey packages for "plug & play" delivery and installation.
The impressive history of Saint-Gobain began in 1665, when Louis XIV's Finance Minister Colbert founded the Manufacture Royale des Glaces de Miroirs... 2009 will be the year of the opening of A Glass House in Paris! The brand will open its interactive Parisian studio on 5 November 2009, during the BATIMAT trade fair. "A Glass House" is located in the former Espace Claude Berri (renovated by Jean Nouvel): 4, passage Saint Avoye - (entrance 8 rue Rambuteau) - 75003, Paris. Here, architects, designers as well as the general public can discover the multiple possibilities offered by the QUANTUM GLASS technologies. Last but not least, "A Glass House" will also be a studio for the training of future certified QUANTUM GLASS installers.
Glass solutions: Sources of inspiration
Tomorrow's world will be a world of active glazing where the optical, thermal and other physical properties of glass can be controlled actively.
QUANTUM GLASS offers state-of-the-art solutions for contemporary lifestyles, sustainable and eco-friendly materials that embody new architectural codes and optimize energy consumption. This new brand will rewrite the codes for architecture and design.
With these first six technologies from QUANTUM GLASS, tomorrow's world becomes a reality:
PLANILUM: A new perspective on lighting
Light-emitting glass panels, developed in collaboration with SAAZS, which glow with pure, direct, sensual light.
ELECTROCHROME: Unobstructed Protection
Transparent glazing which turns from clear to dark blue depending on ambient sunshine, season or atmosphere, to provide actively regulated comfort, reduce energy consumption and eliminate blinds or curtains, preserving a project's design integrity.
THERMOVIT: A new era in heating
Standard or designed-to-order thermo-regulated glass panels.
E-GLAS: Invisible warmth
Insulating glazing with an invisible system for radiant heating; the modern, cost-efficient way to prevent condensation, add both warmth and natural light to interior spaces, or instantly melt snow on glass roofs.
