Premier DGU has switched its Warm Edge spacer supply from Swiss Spacer V to Edgetech's Super Spacer. Sales and Marketing Director of Premier DGU, Jayne Camm explains why: "We could see Window Energy Ratings (WERs) were going to continue to be the way forward for the industry and knew we would struggle to meet the increased demand with our existing spacer.

We wanted to be in the best possible position to not only offer the market a high performing product, but also supply the increasing demand. That is why we decided to invest in a fully automated For-El IGU line from Promac with a Super Spacer application robot and gas filling press. Our energy efficient sealed units allow our customers to achieve the best energy ratings. Now, our new automated set-up means they can also be confident we can reliably supply them with ultimate quality sealed units regardless of the increasing volumes they are likely to need. Our investment in continuous foam spacer with automatic application has realised our very clear vision of the future.

"As well as allowing us to future proof our business, Edgetech's Super Spacer Dealership offers business, sales and marketing support for us, our customers and our customers' customers. Working with a company that is willing to invest so much time and money in its customers gives us great confidence moving forward. As demand for WERs continues to grow - possibly exponentially if the current Building Regulations under consultation are passed and all replacement windows sold to the homeowner have to be C or above - we are in a great position to offer high quality products in high volumes so that our customers can make the most of the market opportunity."
