H.B. Fuller | Kömmerling forced to raise prices for Insulating Glass sealants with immediate effect due to substantial raw material cost escalation.

Kömmerling will be implementing price adjustments by up to 6% effective 1st November 2018 or as soon as contracts allow.

During the year prices of most raw materials have continued to escalate and recent double digit increases, in particular in polysulfide polymer, coupled with market shortages led to a further aggravation of the overall cost situation.

Inflationary pressures on commodities globally exist due to tight supply in a robust demand environment. In addition cost of logistics, labour and regulations have continued to increase and can no longer be absorbed by improved operating efficiencies.

In order to maintain proven quality and service levels there is unfortunately no other option but increasing our sealant and adhesive prices. The precise level of increases will be communicated to individual customers on short notice.
