Glass South America 2012 - Lisec

Date: 6 June 2012

As one of the most promising markets in South America for sure Brazil is in the focus of the glass industry and its machinery manufacturers.

Not only due to upcoming big events like e.g. the Soccer World Cup in 2014 but mainly because the huge country with its various resources was never really affected by the financial crises the impulse to invest is unbroken. Megacities like Sao Paulo still see a building boom at high levels and glass is used in considerable volume. Therefore this years edition of “Glass South America” in the Transamerica Expo Center of Sao Paulo, held from May 16 to 19, was a very successful event for the numerous international exhibitors.

When the stand was too crowded the discussions simply continued in the aisles

For decades LiSEC has an excellent foothold in Brazil, especially in the sector of insulating glass lines and fully automatic production facilities. So this year the company turned the attention to glass cutting/processing and the production of laminated glass. LiSEC presented the new compact cutting table FiT-CUT, which as an economic stand-alone machine represents a balanced start-up solution, and also held a well-attended presentation about the latest news in laminated glass production during the seminar program of the show.

High quality machines for high quality products

The exhibition itself develops more and more to be an information center not only for the Brazilian glass industry but moreover for the whole South America. The orders which LiSEC could finalise also with companies of other Latin American countries during the show prove this fact impressively.
