Exhibits will showcase protection enhanced by superior strength and post-break performance of SentryGlas® interlayer, proven edge stability to increase design freedom, long lasting resistance to weathering, laminator qualification program for product assurance, and more. Highlights at the DuPont booth:Safety and ProtectionFive times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than conventional laminating materials, DuPont™ SentryGlas® helps enhance protection against impacts, breakage, and heavy loads. Visitors can experience the superior performances by standing on a glass floor displayed at the booth.New Design PossibilitiesWith proven edge stability, SentryGlas® interlayer enables designers to create stronger, larger expansions of security glazing, including open-edged, structural, and butt-glazed installations. DuPont will share more details about cases regarding the open-edged rooftop glass railings, including the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark in Singapore and the all-glass structure of Apple Store in Shanghai (Lujiazui). Glass balustrades and canopies will be available at the show to demonstrate design freedom.Excellent Weathering Durability Laminates made with SentryGlas® show durability under a variety of different weathering conditions: no delamination, visual defects, edge cloud or undesired changes in haze or YID.This is why the interlayer has become a preferred choice for glazing at many fascinating buildings in the world, including the 632-meter Shanghai Tower that uses low-iron glass laminated with SentryGlas® to withstand natural weathering. The tower will take its place as China’s tallest building upon completion in 2014.
Product Assurance
To ensure product quality, DuPont Glass Laminating Solutions have a qualification program to assess laminated glass made by customers. Moreover, DuPont’s advanced technology can help architects and designers align with the new façade code, JGJ 102, in China by selecting SentryGlas® to reduce glass thickness. Technical experts will be available at the booth to answer questions from visitors or discuss new projects and ideas.
