Depressed Real Estate Market Reducing the Demand for Tempered Glass?

Date: 20 May 2014

In just the past May Day, the real estate market in those several big cities of China was persistently pale and made the real estate owners unsatisfied.

Compared with the same period last year, some data showed that the turnover dropped nearly eighty percent and some owners even tried to attract customers at a reduced price.

In fact, it is not a unimaginable thing without any reason. There was already some downturn signals at the beginning of this year, for the housing price has been rising crazily in the past few years, which make the populace feel stressful and tend to keep a wait-and-see attitude. So, there is no wonder that the real estate market became cool after a long-term warming.

Things never happened alone. Influenced by the declining real estate market, the architectural material industry also takes a hit. Glass plays a key role in architectural material industry. Compared with traditional glass, tempered glass is much more favored by customers to be used in doors and windows, curtain walls, etc due to it's safe and eco-friendly after processed by glass tempering furnaces. But this time, under the influence of real estate market, the demand for tempered glass also declined.

So, the tempered glass market is facing a big challenge. How to normalize the real estate market and boost the healthy development of the surrounding economies is still a problem need to be solved.
