The new Delta-T Test Kit, available for only £49.95 + vat (including compact digital scales), provides manufacturers with the equipment to test a desiccant’s activity level to indicate as to whether it’s effective enough to use in production.
Mark Hickox, Sales Director at Thermoseal Group says: “We believe that a desiccant should have the capacity to adsorb 20% moisture at the point that it is sealed within a double glazed unit to ensure that it is active enough to fulfil its role in keeping a correctly constructed sealed unit from failing within a decade.
“There are many reasons why a desiccant can fail this test. It may be due to the way it has been manufactured, transported or stored, so it’s worth keeping a daily check on your desiccant in stock.
“Our new test kit will provide you with the right equipment to test your molecular sieve so that you can ensure that only quality desiccant is being sealed within your units and that it conforms to EN1279 regulations.”
Thermoseal Group provides EN1279 approved products which are checked for adsorption capacity, dust level and initial moisture content. It also supplies the final product to customers in airtight cartons or high volume drums to ensure its optimum performance.
