Bostik, a leading global adhesive specialist for industrial, construction and consumer markets, announced it will launch an innovative, modified silicone sealant for backbedding applications during its exhibit with parent company, Arkema, Inc. at GlassBuild America, September 17-19, 2019 in Atlanta, GA.
Marking its 17th year, GlassBuild America is the largest annual event for the glass, window and door industries in North America. In addition to offering educational sessions on market trends and best practices as well as networking opportunities, the event features an expansive exhibit hall where attendees can learn about the latest product and equipment advancements.
This year, Bostik, alongside Arkema, will launch its modified silicone sealant, B-5100, for backbedding applications. Formulated with high green strength and compatible with Arkema’s Kynar 500® and Kynar Aquatec® resin-based coatings, this product increases efficiencies, enhances aesthetics and improves paintability over other current options. It also offers exceptional adhesion to glass, metals and plastics to further optimize performance and improve durability.
Additionally, Bostik will highlight its window and door installation sealants, including flashing products, which are fully compatible with Arkema’s industrial construction solutions and bring a complete installation system to the market. Designed to make window and door installation faster, safer and easier, these solutions enhance building aesthetics and durability.
Speaking in advance of the event, Tom Mylott, Bostik’s National Sales Manager for the Building Components industry said, “We appreciate the opportunity to co-exhibit alongside other Arkema business units, as our compatible products work together to improve industrial construction applications overall. We look forward to meeting other industry professionals, sharing the news of our latest backbedding innovation and learning how we can help solve their challenges.”
