aluplast has continued its rapid growth in the UK, agreeing a new supply deal with new build and architectural specification specialist D Glass.

With extensive experience in the construction sector, D Glass supplies the trade and developers across Southern England.

As part of its agreement with aluplast, it will supply Ideal 70, aluplast’s slimline and highly popular system as part of its core PVC-U offer.

James Clayson, General Manager D Glass, said: “The quality in the aluplast product shows through in the finish, in the construction of its thermally efficient chambers and the options that it gives you. It’s a also a highly accredited product, which means that we know it will do what we need it to do.

“It’s what you would expect from a German-engineered system and as a German-engineered system, it also appeals to developers and architects.”

aluplast’s slim line and Ideal 70 system, is available in an extensive choice of finishes including dual colour options. With a choice of 24mm to optimum 40mm triple glazed options, it also easily achieves a WER A+ rating with standard components and A++ with specific profiles and IGUs.

It’s part of a comprehensive offering, which also includes its  new Ideal 4000, contemporary SquareLine system and its new Lift-and-Slide door majors on a Passive Haus equivalent standard thermal efficiency, both of which are also available in aluplast’s aluskin external aluminium fascia system.

Ian Cocken, Director of Sales and Marketing UK & Ireland, aluplast, said: “Our agreement with D Glass builds on aluplast’s growing reach in specification and new build sectors.

“While our product portfolio delivers a high degree of flexibility across markets, the Ideal 70 and Ideal 4000, offer significant opportunities to architects, house builders and specifiers including a choice of highly flexible finish options and ecotech our green option.”

ecotech uses a pioneering production process to return pre and post extrusion product and post fabrication waste plus known source post installation pelletized, PVC-U into the extrusion process.

This uses two compound screw feeds to push recycled and virgin material simultaneously through the profile  dye to create the profile, while maintaining a distinct separation between the two. This separates and at the same time isolates recycled material away from any external face or area which performs a structural role, which means that aluplast can guarantee surface and finish quality.

“ecotech is just one example of how aluplast’s investment in product innovation is delivering significant advantages to its customers in new build and specification, in addition to the through-life benefits our products offer the end-user”, concluded Cocken.
