New system streamlines order process, features new evaluation tools and mobile-friendly design.

Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) has launched an all-new web application for ordering glass samples and sample kits at samples.vitroglazings.com. The new sample order system features several key upgrades that improve the user experience and offers customers additional information about sample products from Vitro Glass.

According to Nathan McKenna, director, marketing and innovation, Vitro Architectural Glass, the new sample order system provides a more streamlined ordering process and dynamic virtual tools that help customers and design professionals select the best samples for their needs.

“The primary purpose of updating the website was to make ordering glass samples and sample kits more convenient and to simplify choosing the right samples,” said McKenna. “We worked closely with a group of Vitro Certified™ Network glass fabricators to pilot the new web application, and we will continue to look for additional ways to improve this tool and innovate our range of digital resources moving forward.”

Among the highlights of the sample order system is an improved, mobile-friendly web design and a new Vitro Glass Assistant, which collects information about a user’s project considerations and offers recommendations from available glass samples and sample kits. Customers and designers can also access a tutorial on viewing glass samples in multiple environments to best evaluate the unique characteristics of a particular sample product.

The new system also allows dynamic configuration of individual glass samples, as opposed to pre-determined configurations. This allows users to customize the surface placement of low-e coatings on Vitro’s full range of glass substrates while selecting 4″ x 6″ or 12″ x 12″ sizes.

The new web-based tool includes an all-new fulfillment process that allows customers and design professionals to view a live inventory of sample products, receive immediate confirmation of an order, track orders through FedEx and save delivery addresses and previous orders.

“This has freed up time from the previous sample order process,” said one Vitro Certified™ Network pilot user. “The order acknowledgments are clear and viewing order history in a single spot is very useful.”
