"Verification of authenticity" for products tested at ift Rosenheim

The holistic testing and evaluation of products is a core concern at ift Rosenheim – entirely in the context of quality, fitness for use and long service life. This also includes the accuracy, reliability and comprehensibility of the ift tests on the basis of the technically standard-related fundamentals of the assessment of performance.

The new "Tested by ift" mark is a novel service that leads via a QR code to the associated ift verifications with information on the product characteristics tested. In this way, it is used for "checking the authenticity" of the documents and establishes the evaluated performance characteristics of the product credibly and transparently.

Being able to use the logo of ift Rosenheim is a long-cherished desire of several ift customers because it stands for competence, quality and reliability all over the world. However, the award of the ift logo should be combined with the dependable statement "Tested" for advertisement and product marking.

In addition, the product marking should be unique as well as transparent; in other words, it should permit access to the associated test verifications. This has become possible with the new generation of the "ift verifications with QR code".

In the past, after completion of the testing, ift customers received a test report which was allowed to be published only as a complete set.

In the meantime, the customer receives a two-part test documentation, consisting of the detailed test report, which meets all accreditation requirements as well as the one-page "ift verification" in most cases, which replaces the cover sheet summary so far.

With effect from this year, every owner of an "ift verification with QR code" can use the new "Tested by ift" mark via the ift customer portal. It may be used on the product itself as well as in information and advertising leaflets in order to establish the performance capability of the product.

The "Tested by ift" mark is a protected trademark and an "authenticity indicator" with QR code and ID number that simply navigates you to the manufacturer-independent website "www.ift-geprueft.de".

This is where the associated ift verifications for the tested product with information on technical characteristic values/product characteristics, usage as well as applicable standards and test criteria are available.

Transparent, conforming to the rules and promotionally effective: The "Tested by ift" mark supports manufacturers, designers and building owners in dealing with the actually tested performance of the product – in other words, with the product characteristic values.
