Şişecam Flat Glass at ‘Eurasia Glass Fair’ with Energy Saving Products

Şişecam Flat Glass, leader of the Turkish flat-glass market and the largest flat-glass producer of Europe, attended the ‘Eurasia Glass Fair 2017’. The company attracted a great deal of interest with the high-performance products it exhibited at the most important glass-industry fair in Eurasia, held in Beylikdüzü TÜYAP Exhibition and Congress Center between 8-11 March.

A member of the Şişecam Group, a global player in the glass industry, Şişecam Flat Glass attended the ‘Eurasia Glass Fair 2017’, the most important glass-industry fair in Eurasia, held in Beylikdüzü TÜYAP Exhibition and Congress Center between 8-11 March. Şişecam Flat Glass exhibited its high-performance products at the fair.

In Eurasia Glass Fair 2017, energy-saving products of Şişecam Flat Glass were presented at the company's 156 m2 stand. Şişecam Flat Glass products are designed to save energy, meet all relevant safety, security and noise control standards, and can be used in decorative applications.

They demonstrate the company’s committment to energy-saving through state-of-the-art production technologies, based on a vision to offer innovative solutions that meet the ever-changing needs of the market by continuously investing in R&D and production.

The company exhibited the "Şişecam Temperable Solar Control Low-E Glass”, which offers various performance levels to limit solar heat gain while making maximum use of daylight thanks to a transparent and neutral structure.

Compared to ordinary double-glazed unit, it decreases heat loss by 50%, thus allowing savings in heating costs during the winter, and also decreases the solar heat gain by 40% to 65%, thus allowing savings in cooling costs during the summer.

Şişecam Flat Glass also launched its new high-quality product “Temperable Solar Control Low-E Glass”, developed for Istanbul's New Airport project. The new airport will serve 90 million passengers annually after the completion of its first phase in the first quarter of 2018, and 200 million passengers annually after the completion of all phases.

Şişecam Temperable Solar Control Low-E Glass will be used for the 200,000+ square-meter façade and roof lighting of the airport, offering efficient energy-saving, noise control, aesthetics, safety and security.

It will offer a light transmittance of 51%, thus ensuring the optimum light transmission needed in the project, and a transparent design with low reflectivity.

The Insulating Glass Unit to be used at the new airport allows only 29% of the solar energy to enter the building during the summer, at the same time reducing heat losses by 50% during the winter, offering savings in terms of both cooling and heating expenses.

Providing a comfortable living space, Şişecam Flat Glass products reduce energy consumption in buildings, decrease CO2 emissions and make it possible to design eco-friendly buildings.

Other products exhibited at the fair include Şişecam Temperable Solar Control Low-E Glass Neutral 71/43, Neutral 50/33 and Neutral 41/27.
