SCHOTT Iso-Pyranova – CE-Marking now available for the DGU product

Date: 25 April 2008

Since march 2008 SCHOTT has been approved to affix the ‚product passport’ CE-marking also on its multifunctional fire resistant glazing type „Iso-Pyranova“.

The conformity assessment procedures were carried out by the notified body Warrington certification Ltd. UK in compliance with the relevant EU regulations and directives. SCHOTT „Iso-Pyranova“ was declared to fulfil all the necessary requirements conform to the EG-Regulations for Isolation glazing (EN 1279-5:2005).

So far SCHOTT has already achieved the CE-conformity for the fire resistant glazing types „Pyran“ and „Pyranova“. This ‘product passport’ indicates an additional guarantee of products safety and quality, which will potentially facilitate the sales of Schott fire resistant glass on the EU wide market. The CE mark certifies that the product that bears it fulfils the European technical standards published by the European Commission. The use of the CE mark is mandatory for standard products, tempered and coated glass.
