We’ve made new improvements to Spectrum, our Windows-based tool that helps speed up the glass specification process.

Spectrum helps fabricators, architects and specifiers calculate the key properties of insulating glass units (IGUs) and create a specification, even if they aren’t familiar with the Pilkington product range.

The improvements include customisable content features for clients, more user-friendly functions and updates to product information.

Spectrum can generate technical information including light transmittance, U value, sound insulation, fire resistance and impact resistance.

Customisable printouts: Following the updates, we can customise performance data printouts for users with their own logos and contact information for sharing with customers.

Updates to Pilkington energiKare™: The updates reflect the extension of the Pilkington energiKare™ range to include all combinations of Pilkington K Glass™ and Pilkington Optitherm™ including Pilkington energiKare™ Advantage.

More user friendly: Any language can be chosen irrespective of the country selected when registering, from a new drop down menu.

A new ‘add comment’ feature allows users to enter and edit specific details about projects at any time. Comments can also be stored when saving a modelled IGU to allow users to build up an extensive library of project specifications

The updates follow the launch of Spec-it!  the Spectrum performance search function that allow specifications to be developed quickly and efficiently.
