In Moscow, the forum of the architectural glass industry ArchGlass 2018

It will be opened by the president of the Union of Architects of Russia and the Union of Moscow Architects Nikolai Shumakov. Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation Khamit Mavliyarov and chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov will deliver a welcoming speech.

The motto of the first day of the forum - "Architecture of objects with glass - an important factor for creating an attractive appearance of a modern city."

Moskomarkhitektura and TPO Reserve will present the project of the concert hall "Zariadye". 

He became the winner of the prestigious ArchDaily portal prize in the nomination "The Best Project in the Sphere of Public Spaces".

T + T architects will perform with the project of reconstruction of the hotel "Belgrade" in Moscow, which ended last year.

The company "Bearing Systems" will tell about the glass shell of the Biotechnopark in Novosibirsk.

A separate session will be devoted to the EXPO in Astana. The delegation from Kazakhstan, the head of the Moscow office of the German design bureau Werner Sobek and the representative of the glass company Guardian will tell about the experiments at the main glass exhibition in the architecture of EXPO 2017 and will show the bright architectural objects - the symbol of EXPO glass Sphere and other buildings.

The key event of the forum will be a presentation by the Belgian architect, engineer and innovator Philippe Samin, Philippe Samin and Partners, the author of the new building of the Council of Europe and the head office of the glass giant AGC.

F. Samin promises to reveal the secrets of "the delicate relationship between light and shadow, reflection and transparency, where glass plays an important role" on examples of projects implemented and under construction.

The theme of the second day will be "New in the practice and theory of the design of translucent structures. Technologies, Norms and Legislation ".

Warm edge technology for double-glazed windows, electro-functional glasses and nano-dust glasses, passive house and translucent structures for climatic regions of Russia, silicone materials for facades and glass in rolls - ArchGlass has traditionally become a platform for discussing novelties in the glass industry.

Leaders of the industry will present innovations in glass production, trends and modern objects with the use of glass. With samples of glass and glass products can be found at the exhibition, organized on the forum site.

The Union of Glass Enterprises will act as a moderator of the round table on the topic "Designing complex translucent structures - selecting the formula of a double-glazed unit".

On ArchGlass-2018 will be VI Russian competition with international participation "Glass in Architecture". The exposition will demonstrate the work of leading architects with glass from unique projects and iconic city buildings to private houses and small architectural forms. Participating countries: Russia, Austria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Belgium and Serbia.

The representatives of the archbureau BERNASKONI, ARH GROUP, T + T architects, Ostozhenka, PI ARENA, Tzimaylo Liashenko and Partners, IND Architects and others will present their works and answer questions.

This year more than 20 projects with the use of glass are presented for the competition. Awarding of the laureates of the contest with the presentation of the National Award for the realized project with the use of glass will take place on April 19 at 17:00 in the Exhibition Hall of the Central House of Architect.

The forum was organized by the Union of Moscow Architects. Official partner - Messe München, organizer of the BAU 2019 - the world's leading exhibition of architectural solutions, building systems and materials.
