The 6th Engineered Skins symposium was successfully organised by gFT on the 1st September 2016 in Cambridge.

gFT members presented their latest research results, ranging from the recent research on structural glass to a broader spectrum of façade engineering research topics, such as building physics, its integration with structural design, use of composites and façade design processes.

60 guests from industry and academia attended the event. The event also featured 3 motivational keynote presentations by Andreas Schüler of EPFL, Mark Hobbs of PCT and Andrew Watts of Newtecnic that provided an insight on emerging technologies, inspirational projects and novel façade design approaches.

The symposium closed with dinner at St Catharine's college that provided an excellent opportunity to continue the lively discussions.

The proceedings of the symposium are available here.
