Date: 24 September 2018
ePower&Building, the major event for the building sector, organised by IFEMA, and which will be held from 13 to 16 November 2018, will include the 2nd Arquitectura con Eñe Awards, which aim to give visibility and recognition to professionals in the sector, with a focus on sustainability, innovation and technology.
These are precisely the objectives set out by the fair, which with the slogan “Transforming the way we build a green world” will become a tool for the construction sector, creating spaces for knowledge and mass commercial encounters between supply and demand.
The 2nd edition of the Arquitectura con Eñe Awards are designed for all architects and are part of ePower&Building. They are organised by CSCAE (Senior Council of the College of Architects of Spain) in collaboration with the COAM (Official College of Architects of Madrid), which will act as a technical office for receiving projects and dealing with queries.
Anyone interested in participating must submit the necessary documentation before 18 October. The awards ceremony will be held during ePower&Building on the evening of Thursday 15 November at La Plaza, located in the central zone of the fair, between halls 5 and 6. The panel is made up leading architects and professionals from the professional and academic fields.
The 2nd Arquitectura con Eñe Awards will be divided into several categories to recognise achievements in specialised fields, such as the VETECO-ASEFAVE Awards, the ARQUITECTURA S+ Awards(sustainability and efficiency), the LUCES DE ARQUITECTURA Awards and the PIEDRAS DE ARTE Awards. There is also a prize for Architect of the Year.
The 13th edition of the VETECO-ASEFAVE Awards will be divided into the following categories: Window, Façade, Sun Protection and Final Degree Project involving Lightweight Façades.
The ARQUITECTURA S+ Awards (sustainability and efficiency) will reward the use of architectural design to improve the behaviour of buildings in a sustainable way in order to minimise their impact on the environment and the people who use them throughout their life cycle. These awards contain two categories: Buildings and Public Spaces.
The awards are one of the many initiatives that Arquitectura con Eñe at ePower&Building encompasses, completing a set of actions relating to architects, including sessions, activities and a networking space for the architecture sector. All of these activities and sessions will take place at La Plaza.
