Consolidated Glass Holdings (CGH) announced that it has named John McKnight as chief operating officer.

In his new role, McKnight will be responsible for leading the operations for CGH’s family of companies, including Columbia Commercial Building Products, Dlubak Specialty Glass, Global Security Glazings, J.E. Berkowitz, North American Specialty Glass, and Solar Seal.

“John brings more than 20 years of executive-level, cross-industry experience to our family of companies,” said Jeremy Davis, chief executive officer, CGH. “He is an adept and successful leader with a proven record of developing strategies and business operations that drive results. He will be a valuable asset as we continue achieving our business and financial objectives.”

Most recently, McKnight served as executive director at Colfax Corporation. He also previously served as president at Danaher Corporation. 

McKnight earned his Master of Engineering Management from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, and his Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
