Colorminium are delighted to announce we have been successful in securing the contract for extensive works of what will be Wedge House Hotel.

Working with main contractor Kier, and alongside Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, we have been engaged to engineer the curtain walling with the pre-installed glazing.

Detailed design of the project is currently underway in order to maximise client value, navigate around logistical challenges and create an incredible building that will be loved by clients and guests alike.

It is a new build hotel/office block in Blackfriars – 7 floors of hotel with 7 floors of office above.

Included in the scope of the project is unitised curtain walling, aluminium windows, swing and sliding door-sets, balustrades, louvres and plant screens, zinc cladding, aluminium cladding and architectural metalwork.

At the top levels, a unitised system will be installed with integral sliding doors and a plant screen clad in zinc.  Architectural metalwork finishes off the top elements giving an enclosed system

The main feature that’s different is that the windows are divided up into smaller panes to replicate the old-style crittall type of window.

Due to commence on site in Spring 2018, the finalised hotel will be visually striking and fitting for the beautiful South London area.
