Award shortlisted VS-1 goes on show at Retail Design Expo

VS-1, which is from one of the UK’s market leaders in the UK building façades sector, GLASSOLUTIONS, has been selected by a panel of industry experts as one of 18 products and services that have the potential to make a big impact on the industry.



The winner of the Innovation Trail and Awards will be announced at the Retail Design Expo which will be held at London’s Olympia 9-10 March.

GLASSOLUTIONS will exhibit its exclusive, mullion-only VS-1 curtain walling system and demonstrate how it gives architects, façade engineers and retailers the freedom to explore complex and original glazing designs that are visually eye catching. The VS-1 system, which is suitable for applications large and small, is a cost effective and installation time efficient alternative to bespoke systems.

The VS-1 is ideal for achieving aesthetically superior buildings featuring large vertical spans of glass or meeting complex designs and allowing plenty of natural light into buildings. It has no transoms which means long vertical sightlines, making it an ideal option for retail projects which require glazing for uninterrupted window designs, shop facades and balustrading.

Supported by GLASSOLUTIONS’ technical excellence, VS-1 is available with the full range of glazing products to help customers achieve the optimum combination of solar, and acoustic and thermal insulation. In addition, the mullions, which span the full height of the façade, can be coloured to suit any design requirements, to offer a finish which will support retailer branding.

GLASSOLUTIONS’ VS-1 curtain walling will be exhibited on Stand H72 at the Retail Design Expo at London’s Olympia 9-10 March.
