Asahimas Plans to Build Flat Glass Factory in Cikampek

The furnace is a relocation of one of the furnace located in Ancol, Jakarta, related to the Local Regulation (Perda) DKI Jakarta No. 1 year 2014 on Detail Plan of Spatial and Zoning Regulation (RDTR-PZ) which governs land use change at the Company's factory located in Ancol (Jakarta) from industry and warehousing into office, trade and service zones.

The Company plans to build another flat glass production facility in Cikampek and increase its capacity to 210,000 tons per year.

This is to relocate the furnace currently operating in Ancol, Jakarta. The company plans to close its Ancol furnace once the Cikampek relocation is completed.

The Company plans to equip the new furnace with machines that can produce flat glass, mirror  and patterned glass.

The company also plans to build a low-e coating offline glass facility using new technology from AGC Group, which can produce glass with certain specifications in order to anticipate domestic and exports demand for environmentally friendly glass products.

To build the production facility, the Company has prepared the land adjacent to the previous flat glass furnace in Cikampek.

The Company is currently preparing feasibility study. In addition, the Company is preparing the financing related to the new furnace development plan.

For the implementation of the above transactions, the Company will comply with applicable laws and regulations as well as on capital market regulations. The Company expects the new furnace construction plan to be implemented  in this year.
