A complete range of products catering to the automotive sector, engineered to meet the most varied production needs. Designed and refined to deliver obscuration bends for windshields, sidelites and backlites, Fenzi’s Tempver Automotive line consistently meets the needs (that get more sophisticated every day) of automotive glass manufacturers. The Fenzi Group’s experience and ability to innovate cannot help but play a key role in this constantly evolving sector.
Tempver Automotive ceramic enamels pair perfectly with the most advanced production processes. Easily applied on any type of system, they deliver excellent performance in both press-bending and gravity-bending. Completely free of heavy metals, they meet the strictest quality standards set by auto manufacturers in terms of both chemical and mechanical resistance as well as optical density.
Ceramic paints with performance optimized for the auto industry and perfectly compatible with the innovations of a market in perpetual transformation are needed to effectively protect the polyurethane sealants (used to seal the glass to the body of the vehicle) from UV radiation and to hide the heat conductors printed on backlites. Thanks to the Fenzi Group’s customary and ongoing commitment to R&D, the entire Tempver Automotive product range fully satisfies these requirements.
The range includes enamels for automotive laminated glass, developed to adapt to both press-bending and gravity-bending processes, with an ample firing range, reverse color, good non-stick properties and excellent optical density; enamels for automotive tempered glass, high silver hiding, superior durability and excellent chemical resistance. And, in addition, conductive silver pastes, developed with 60% or 80% silver content, in partnership with Q-INKS.
Advances in enamel application technologies and glass curving make enamel products for the automotive sector ideally suited to meet ever-more-specific needs.
The characteristics of ceramic enamels must be adjusted based on the type of production process and application -- use on laminated or tempered glass, degree of adhesion to the glass, non-stick or not, appearance after firing (matt or glossy), silver hiding, thermal expansion coefficient, chemical resistance, firing temperature range, optical density and scratch-resistance are just some of the parameters that must be considered when formulating automotive enamels.
The right enamel with the appropriate performance features truly makes the difference in production speed and controlled quality. This is exactly why it is crucial to be able to count on a reliable partner like the Fenzi Group.
