Works Start On $81 Mln Glass Factory In Central Vietnam

Vietnam’s largest float glass factory project worth VND1.3 trillion (US$81 million) got off the ground Friday in the central Chu Lai Economic Zone.



The 1,000 ha-Chu Lai glass factory in Quang Nam Province is expected to start operation after fifteen months of construction.



Once fully operational, the factory, which boasts a state-of-the-art float glass production line with a daily melting capacity of 700 tons, can supply over 40 million sq.m of glass products to the market annually.



The project’s investors include the Vietnamese Coal and Mineral Industrial Group, Minerals Corp, and Industrial Development Company.
