For the fourth consecutive year, Western Window Systems will play a major role in the NAHB International Builders’ Show, the largest builders’ show and conference in the United States, taking place January 10 through 12 in Orlando, Florida.
“For over 70 years, the NAHB has brought the best and the biggest exhibitors from all over the building industry,” says Western Window Systems president and CEO Scott Gates.
“This year, Western Window Systems is building on that legacy with the introduction of a revolutionary new product line and an inclusion in a remarkable show home designed for baby boomers.”
At its booth in Professional Builder magazine’s Show Village, located in the convention center’s parking lot, Western Window Systems will have corner samples on hand of its new Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door.
The first of 12 new products set to roll out over the course of 2017, the Series 7000 family features an aluminum extrusion design utilizing proprietary Insulbar technology, across-the-board U-value ratings as low as .19 (when utilizing triple-pane glass), and design pressure ratings above 50.
Low-E coated glass from Cardinal Glass Industries delivers energy efficiency in all types of weather.
“The wood window industry has tried to address the demand for this type of architecture with products branded as ‘contemporary’ — and customers aren’t buying it,” says Gates.
“Architects and designers want the look, functionality, and strength of aluminum, and have often sacrificed energy ratings to get it. Our new aluminum product family will be more energy efficient than wood.”
Custom products from the manufacturer will appear again in the 55+ Home. Also a part of Show Village, the 1,871-square-foot, single-level show home features extra-wide hallways and a covered porch accessible through Western Window Systems multi-slide doors.
The company partnered with Atlanta-based designer Jim Chapman Communities and builder Nationwide Custom Homes of Martinsville, Virginia, to outfit show home.
