The complete range of Super Spacer® Standard, Premium, Premium Plus and TriSeal(tm) will be on display in hall 14/l, stand E 05.
Just in time for the pre trade fair coverage, Edgetech has come up with another piece of good news: Lenhardt Maschinenbau GmbH of the Bystronic Group has developed a fully automatic applicator for the Edgetech Super Spacer® and it will be shown at Vitrum for the first time at the Lenhardt stand (hall 15/I, stand B 25). That makes Lenhardt the third company in Europe, after Lisec (Austria) and For.El. (Italy), to offer its own production line for the Super Spacer®.
Since its European launch at the start of 2003, Edgetech has been on the road to success. Last year, in cooperation with Lisec, Edgetech was able to sell a complete production line to one of the largest glass manufacturers in Switzerland. There are more major contracts for I.G. production lines to come this year, this time from Norway and Dubai.
It is of course the new Super Spacer® Tri-Seal(tm) with TrueWARM® NO metal technology that will be the centre of attention for Edgetech at VITRUM this year. Like all Edgetech products, it can be processed quickly and easily, either in manual or automatic mode. It exceeds conventional spacers by far in terms of its thermal properties, resistance to condensation and its outstanding material properties. Furthermore it is compatible with silicone sealants as well as polyurethane, polysulfide, DSE/DSA (reactive hot melt) and hot melt butyl.
A test conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute of Building Physics in June demonstrated just how outstanding the heat transfer coefficients of Super Spacer® and TriSeal(tm) really are. Super Spacer® Premium backed with 5 mm hot melt butyl, for example, reached a value of 0.029 W/mK in a wooden window frame and TriSeal(tm) with 4 mm PU recorded a value of 0.030 W/mK.
