Trulite Industries Joins Family Of Arch Aluminum & Glass Companies

Date: 31 December 2007

Arch Aluminum & Glass Co. Inc. has announced Trulite Industries Limited will join the Arch family of companies.

Trulite, founded in 1975 and based in Mississauga, Ontario, is one of Canada’s largest fabricators of large-scale insulated, tempered, spandrel and screen printed glass, as well as a distributor of flat glass.

The Trulite acquisition continues Arch’s growth geographically, representing Arch's first Canadian facility. Trulite has a U.S. presence, which will expand as they integrate with the Arch family. The company is known for quality and service through its experience on high profile jobs, including Heinz Field, the Palace of Auburn Hills, the Boston Convention Center, the Toronto Airport and the Casino Niagara.

“We are excited about Trulite joining the family; their culture is in synergy with ours and their reputation in the industry is top notch," Arch President and CEO Leon Silverstein explains. "In addition, this acquisition positions Arch into new areas of the architectural marketplace, and offers building teams the opportunity to purchase curtain wall glazing systems from a 'True Single Source' supplier," Silverstein adds.

Trulite President Gerry Duffy and management team will remain intact while Peter Alexander, Trulite CEO and one of its founders, will stay in a consulting role. Duffy noted, “Together with Arch we will continue to offer our customers the best service and quality while the resources Arch has will ensure we will always be on the cutting edge," Duffy says.

With Duffy, Alexander and their staff remaining, Silverstein added, "We are confident that our similar backgrounds and philosophies will ensure everything will continue to run smoothly.”
