Date: 20 June 2017
Celebrating its 25th year, the GPD event has an impressive record of bringing together customers, suppliers and industry experts. And, since 1992, it has seen 12,000 delegates attend 3,000 presentations, listen to 1,000 speakers and form over 30,000 contacts!
This year there will be an impressive program of events, including hands-on workshops and fascinating presentations on new technology; and attendees will get the chance to network with other visitors and exhibitors – fostering industry relations – and experience a number of interactive social activities, both during the day and in the evenings.
Trosifol is a Platinum Level Sponsor at this year’s event. We will be chairing three conference sessions on structural glass applications, laminated glass and architectural challenges & solutions and will be presenting new insights and research results on the following four themes: edge stability of laminated glass, structural integrity, acoustic interlayers and laminated glass case studies from around the world.
Come and see us to learn the results of one of our many research and testing programmes, concerning the salt-spray testing of a variety of laminated glass samples at a TÜV laboratory in Singapore.
The results not only provide peace of mind for architects and designers working in coastal applications, but also highlight the incredible capabilities of some the world’s leading interlayer technology. A summary of this testing will be provided in the next issue of LGN.
You can meet us at our GPD EXPO booth no. 77 too, to learn about the innovations and new interlayers we have on display. Here you will discover our new Trosifol® Extra Stiff PVB interlayer using our unique UltraClear technology; our new SentryGlas® Translucent White ionoplast interlayer, with recent developments that improve the quality of SentryGlas® laminates; and our unique Trosifol® UltraClear PVB that significantly improves standard PVB clarity.
Trosifol is also delivering new online tools to serve you better, such as our advanced glass strength calculator and the Trosifol WinSlt Tool, which calculates the Light Transmission Values of glazing constructions using our interlayers according EN 410 and ASHREA.
As the GPD organisers say “a lot can change in 25 years!” And this is not just in terms of glazing technology, but also in terms of structural design trends, architectural zoning laws and national and international legislation. There really is no better place to be if you need to discover the latest news and views regarding what the industry has to offer, the challenges it is facing and, more importantly, the answers to these challenges.
