In a ground-breaking move, Saint-Gobain Glass introduces MIRALITE® EASYSAFE, the game-changer shatterproof mirror for interior spaces where safety and aesthetics take precedence.
Enhanced safety with innovative design
MIRALITE® EASYSAFE offers premium anti-shatter performances thanks to its patented production process. This innovative mirror is produced in Germany through a streamlined, one-step process on the mirror production line.
In the event of breakage, this innovative resin retains 98% of glass splinters. In addition, MIRALITE® EASYSAFE conforms to EN 12600, prioritising the safety of building occupants and workers who handle the mirror.
Easy transformation with a safe solution
Avoiding the necessity to manually apply a traditional safety plastic film, this innovative product was co-developed with Saint-Gobain Glass clients as a ready-made solution. MIRALITE® EASYSAFE allows processors to effortlessly cut in various shapes, grind, and drill. It is available in jumbo sizes (PLF) and DLF dimensions in both 4- and 6-mm thicknesses.
Easy and quick installation
Installing MIRALITE® EASYSAFE is a breeze, as it can be safely installed without the need for a specific primer.
A more sustainable anti-shatter mirror
This technology allows to completely avoid plastic waste and incorporates lead-free and solvent-free raw materials, making it a more sustainable alternative compared to the safety backed filmed mirrors.
Versatility redefined
MIRALITE® EASYSAFE is ideal for high-traffic public spaces such as retail outlets, sports facilities, restaurants, hotels, and residential buildings. It excels in large-scale projects, serving as interior wall cladding and fitting into various furniture pieces.
The approved anti-shatter mirror
In addition to the anti-shatter test, MIRALITE® EASYSAFE also conforms to European safety EN 12600, (classes 3B3 in 4mm & 2B2 in 6mm). Rigorous testing proved that MIRALITE® EASYSAFE meets the requirements of the silver mirror quality standard, compulsory for the CE marking (according to EN 1036). Additionally, the mirror has the A2 rating for reaction to fire according to EN 13501-1.
Launched first in Germany and France, numerous customers across Europe are expected to embrace this game-changer solution.
