REAL Aluminium Makes a REAL Difference with New Software

REAL Aluminium has teamed up with top industry software developer First Degree Systems to design, develop and build a new online quoting and ordering system, which will allow installers to quote and order REAL products anytime and anywhere when they are online.

The launch of this new software means that REAL Aluminium customers can take control of their quoting and ordering and save valuable time, increase productivity and get what they need 24/7.

John Harvey, Customade Group production systems manager and lead developer on the project, explains: “We’re really excited to launch this new software, which is very much part of our brand promise to make a ‘REAL Difference’ for our customers. Our objective was to build a straightforward and intuitive system that customers could work with easily and this software delivers just that. It is a breakthrough for firms wanting to enter the aluminium market because it simplifies what can be a time consuming and complicated process of quoting and ordering.

“We know from our research that when our installers visit their customers to measure up, the time to return and follow up a quote is a critical part of the homeowners selection process. Giving our customers the tools to be able to do this almost immediately will give them a ‘REAL’ competitive edge.

“We also wanted to minimise the risks when quotes are converted to orders and give our customers confidence that they will get the products they need, especially those who are new to aluminium. And our new offering goes beyond the software element, because there is the full support of the team at REALwho are there to review every order placed. This minimises the risk of error and allows installers to design and specify their projects with confidence.”

The launch of the new online quoting and ordering system is the latest phase of investment at REALAluminium to maintain its lead within the industry. Last year, REAL Aluminium completed a £250,000 investment programme to create an additional 23,000ft2 aluminium factory space and fulfil its industry-leading two-week lead time on windows and bifolding doors.

The REAL Aluminium team will be on stand L20 at the FIT Show in May and running a series of seminars and training sessions to show visitors this new software and to demonstrate the benefits of the REALAluminium package.
