The site scales to desktops, tablets and smartphones, and it features enhanced search capabilities including a predictive search bar on the home page, enabling visitors to search the site’s massive collection of technical information and online tools faster and more efficiently. Additional upgrades include mega-menus to improve and accelerate navigation, increased shareability with links to popular social media sites on each page, direct links from product pages to PPG’s sample-ordering system and a project gallery featuring more than 500 projects that can be located via a built-in GOOGLE MAPS™ mapping tool.

The site also scales to desktops, tablets and smartphones.

The look and organization of the website also are enriched. Large photos run across the top of each page and are supplemented by thumbnail images of projects featuring PPG metal coatings, glass and paint on all primary landing pages. Content organization better aligns with the specific audiences that gather information from the site.

The PPGIdeaScapes.com site—designed in response to feedback from architects, interior designers and other building professionals—enables visitors to research, specify and source PPG’s entire collection of metal coatings, glass and paint. Website content, which includes product catalogs, technical bulletins, project information and data sheets, has been organized to better align with the specific audiences that gather information from the site.

Jan Rogan, PPG manager, construction market team, said redesigning PPGIdeaScapes.com is the first step in an ongoing campaign to make the site an indispensable resource for architects. “Architects will immediately notice how much faster, more attractive and more functional the new site is, and we already have additional upgrades and features in development to further enhance its ability to serve the architectural, engineering and construction communities,” she explained.

Developed by the only global company that manufactures metal coatings, glass and paint, PPGIdeaScapes.com offers an exceptional variety of resources to help architects, designers and building professionals research, specify and obtain products that color, protect and beautify nearly every surface of a commercial building or home.

In addition to continually-updated product catalogs, technical bulletins and data sheets, PPGIdeaScapes.com houses an array of specification tools and resources to help architects achieve their aesthetic and budget goals as well as their goals for certification from organizations such as the U.S. Green Building Council. Tools include online color visualizers and energy calculators, along with building information modeling (BIM) files and links to third-party specification resources such as the ARCAT®, BSD SpecLink-E, SWEETS® Network and AUTODESK® systems.

Architects and designers also can access PPG’s vast library of online educational resources, take industry-sponsored continuing education courses and tap into PPG’s global network of applicators, fabricators, retailers and third-party providers, including many that are specially certified to supply and service PPG metal coatings, glass and paint.
